2015 Ford F-150 Safety Tech – Dallas, TX
When you ask a Ford F-150 what their favorite thing is about their truck, they may answer the towing capacity or reliability. One answer you won’t likely hear is how fun it is to parallel park, at least not until now. With the 2015 F-150 getting active park assist for the first time, parking in tight gaps becomes easier than ever. The class-exclusive active park assist is just one of many features included in the 2015 Ford F-150 to help drivers out.
Adaptive cruise control is also available on the all-new, lighter 2015 F-150, which helps drivers maintain speed and distance from the vehicles ahead. Collision warning and brake support are available, which alerts the driver of an upcoming collision and even pre-charges the brakes if the driver needs to stop quickly.
For 2015, Ford engineers included a new system in the F-150 called Curve Control, which helps drivers slow down and maintain traction if they enter a corner too quickly. Also, a new trailer light status indicator shows drivers which lights are out on their trailer without having to leave the vehicle, and multi-contour massaging seats help make the drive extra comfortable.
To help drivers get through tight spaces, both in the city and on the trail, Ford has developed a class-exclusive 360-degree camera. This system allows the driver to see a bird’s eye view of their F-150 and up to seven feet surrounding it, perfect for maneuvering tight spots and narrow roads. Other helpful features when heading off-road are the available hill-descent control and tire pressure monitoring.
