New Styling and Features for the 2018 Ford Mustang

The 2018 Ford Mustang recently debuted sporting a new look, more technology and improved performance. Newly styled front and rear ends give the 2018 Ford Mustang a leaner and meaner look while also improving aerodynamics. The available new 10-speed automatic transmission offers more performance than ever, and can be combined with the new MagneRide suspension.

Mustang owners are getting more ways to customize their vehicle than ever before, with a new 12-inch all-digital instrument cluster and MyMode memory function that remembers your driving preferences like suspension and steering tuning. The MagneRide suspension allows for adjustment of the handling characteristics, and an optional active valve exhaust on the Mustang GT lets you decide how much you want to hear the engine roar.

The 2018 Ford Mustang is also receiving a number of available driver-assist features, including Pre-Collision Assist with pedestrian detection, lane-departure warning and lane-keeping assist. Ford SYNC Connect with FordPass gives owners the ability to start, lock, unlock and locate their vehicle using the FordPass app on their smartphone.

The proven 2.3-liter EcoBoost four-cylinder engine remains the best choice for those who want power and efficiency, with improved performance compared to the outgoing 3.7-liter V6 engine. The 5.0-liter V8 has been updated with Ford’s new dual-fuel, high-pressure direct injection and low-pressure port fuel injection, which can provide lots of low-end torque, high-revving power and improved fuel efficiency.

Manual transmission fans will be happy to hear the Mustang GT’s 6-speed has been redesigned with a new twin-disc clutch and dual-mass flywheel to increase torque capability and provide more efficient clutch modulation. The new 10-speed automatic transmission shifts faster than the previous automatic, is more responsive and includes unique tunes for different drive modes, as well as steering wheel-mounted shift paddles.
