You Can See the New 2015 Ford Expedition First at Five Star Ford in North Richland Hills
The 2015 Ford Expedition will feature an intensive redesign, although it still holds strong to its roots. As you can see from the picture, the 2015 still looks very similar to the outgoing model. There are several updates including different headlights, a new grill, and new wheel options.
The big changes, however, show up in the interior and under the hood. The 2015 Expedition will no longer come with a V8 engine and instead it will feature a 3.5-Liter EcoBoost V6 across the model line. Ford’s EcoBoost technology will drastically improve both horsepower and torque over the outgoing 5.4L V8 and towing capacity is expected to be close to 10,000 lbs. Although the official estimates haven’t been released yet, it should increase fuel economy, as well.
The interior will also get a much needed update to incorporate Ford’s SYNC and MyFord Touch technology. It will feature a new console, center stack, and steering wheel that add a fresher, more modern face that’s inviting and intuitive.
We expect the 2015 Ford Expeditions to start arriving sometime in the second half of 2014 but you can see it first at Five Star Ford in North Richland Hills next month. On Tuesday, June 24th, we will have a 2015 Expedition on our lot. It won’t be available for test drives but you will be able to get a hands-on look at all of the new changes.
